Mark Noble appeals to West Ham fans to maintain peace at home games

West Ham United captain Mark Noble has pleaded with the club's fans to behave in the five remaining home matches of the season after pitch invasions and ugly scenes in the stands marred their 3-0 Premier League defeat by Burnley this month.

West Ham handed lifetime bans to five individuals who stepped on to London Stadium pitch while an unspecified number of supporters suffered the same fate for hurling verbal abuse and coins at owners David Sullivan and David Gold in the directors box.

The London club are 17th in the table with 30 points from as many games and are two points above the drop zone. The defeat by Burnley was their 14th of the campaign.

West Ham host 18th-placed Southampton on Sunday. They also entertain Manchester United, Stoke City, Manchester City and Everton in the next few weeks.
