Wisma Putra: No Malaysians involved in NY truck attack

PETALING JAYA: There are no reports of Malaysians involved in the Lower Manhattan incident in New York on Tuesday (Oct 31), said the Foreign Ministry.
In the incident, a truck driver ploughed through a bicycle lane next to the Hudson River, killing eight and injuring at least 11 people.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Foreign Ministry said the Consulate General of Malaysia in New York would monitor the situation and extend the latest information to Malaysians in the city.
"Our deepest condolences to the families of those who were killed in the incident," it added.
