Remains of victim from diesel storage tank fire recovered

PETALING JAYA: The remains of a victim of the fire at a diesel storage tank at a cement factory at Jalan Kuang on Friday (Nov 3) have been recovered.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Mohd Sani Harul said firemen found the body of the victim at about 2.50pm on Saturday.
Police have identified the victim as a 28-year-old man but have not disclose his name pending investigations.
Mohd Sani said firemen were still trying to locate two other victims who fell into the 4.26m high tank when an explosion occurred at about 4.15pm on Friday (Nov 3).
Bernama reported that an operation involving the extraction of diesel to locate the victims was continuing.
The rescue team had to drain over 725,000 litres of diesel from the tank after firefighters had put out the fire.
