IGP: Probe into MACC chief ongoing

KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman has submitted investigation papers to the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) twice pertaining to an investigation involving Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief commissioner Tan Sri Dzulkifli Ahmad.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun said the police would be submitting the papers for the third time after the AGC handed them back the previous two times.
“We submitted the papers on Oct 17 and Oct 30. We will do so again as the AGC has requested for more information on the matter,” he told a press conference after a working visit to the Special Action Unit (UTK) on Saturday.
Mohamad Fuzi was commenting on the ongoing probe into a video that accused Dzulkifli with enticing a married woman.
In a recent interview with TV3, Dzulkifli said he will not be cowed by personal attacks and added that the commission will continue its fight against graft.
“We will not bow to pressure. We will continue to carry out our duties and responsibilities to ensure that the country is rid of those who are involved in corruption and abuses of power,” he said.
