Jun Hao books spot in Yogyakarta World Junior Championships finals

PETALING JAYA: Leong Jun Hao stormed into the boys' singles final but it was all over for Goh Jin Wei at the World Junior Championships.
The 18-year-old Jun Hao was in his element when he beat Kodai Naraoka of Japan 21-14, 22-20 in 44 minutes at the boys' singles semi-finals in Yogyakarta, Indonesia on Saturday.
He will take on Thailand's Kunvalut Vitidsarn in Sunday's final.
The reigning Asian junior champion Jun Hao was delighted with his consistent showing.
"I'll be ready to face Kunvalut," said Jun Hao, who is determined to end his junior career on a good note.
The 2015 world junior champion Jin Wei suffered a meltdown when she crashed out 9-21, 10-21 to Han Yue of China in the girls' singles semi-finals.
The Kuala Lumpur SEA Games champion had also lost to the Asian junior champion in the mixed team final last week.
