Journalist-turned-fisherman's boat stolen in Melaka

MELAKA: A former editor who gave up his journalism career to become a fisherman is vexed over the theft of his boat at the Klebang jetty here.
Mohd Sani Md Sani, 45, discovered that his boat, worth RM20,000, was missing as he was about to go out to sea on Tuesday morning.
He said he had used the boat the day and returned at 3pm.
Mohd Sani said other fishermen noticed five men speeding off with his boat at about 6am.
Mohd Sani lodged a police report at Batang Tiga police station at 8am on the same day.
Klebang Jetty fishing community association chairman Syed Adam said the theft was the eighth case involving fishing boats since last year.
"My committee has decided to have a night patrol team to avoid more boats from being stolen," he added.
