An array of good deals, offers

KUALA LUMPUR: The Perfect Livin ’17 home and lifestyle exhibition is a not-to-be-missed event for many homeowners.
Software engineer Azadi Asyraf Mat Nayan, 33, first visited the exhibition a few years ago and has been coming back for it ever since.
“The exhibition space at Putra World Trade Centre is large and allows families with strollers to walk around comfortably,” said Azadi, who was there with his wife Amni Amalin Khairuddin, 30, and their two children, aged two and three.
The family, from Batu Caves, turned up at around 10am because early birds stand a chance of getting a limited edition Perfect Livin aluminium drinking bottle.
“Every year, we look forward to it (the free gift).
“Our budget is around RM4,000 to RM5,000. We hope to purchase a wardrobe for the master bedroom in our house in Nilai,” he added.
Self-employed Emily Chew is also a frequent visitor to the exhibition.
“I come for the exhibition every year. Previously, I bought furniture such as beds, cabinets and kitchenware,” said the 53-year-old.
Yesterday, Chew was at the exhibition to find good deals as she wanted to renovate the bathrooms in her Bandar Seri Damansara home.
“There are many choices here and we can compare prices, materials and designs,” said Chew, who also attended the flagship exhibition in April.
New homeowner G. Jhiva, 29, was at the exhibition with his mother, R. Shanthi, 54, and fiancee N. Dharshini, 27, to browse for furnishings for his condominium in Petaling Jaya.
“This is my first time at the exhibition. We’re just surveying the prices and if we can get good deals, we will make a booking.
“Next year, I will come if I need to buy more things for my house,” said Jhiva, a mechanical engineer.
First-time visitor Diana Leong, 33, brought her neighbour along to shop for new mattresses.
“It’s my first time. Perfect Livin is good as it gathers many suppliers under one roof,” said Leong, a professional in the electronics field.
She added that she would visit again next year if there were good deals and freebies.
Some 400 exhibitors are offering more than 2,000 products as well as discounts of up to 80% at the exhibition.
Visitors can also enjoy bargains, freebies and activities and join in the Purchase and Win, Register and Win as well as the Buy, Spin, and Win contests.
Today is the last day for the exhibition. It is open from 10am to 9pm and admission is free.
