Acer unveils large 37.5in ultra-wide monitor

If you are looking for an immersive viewing experience, check out Acer’s large 37.5in ultra-wide monitor, the XR382CQK.
The monitor, which has a QHD+ resolution of 3,840 x 1,600 pixels, is also curved. The 2,300R curvature offers a wider field of view compared to a flat display, according to the company.
The sleek and slim monitor has a wide viewing angle of 178° and the bezel has been kept to the minimum, measuring only 8.2mm thick.
Users can take advantage of the large screen real estate by using the Picture-by-Picture mode which will show images from two sources side by side. However, one source has to be connected via the HDMI port and the other by Display Port.
The monitor also supports HDR (high dynamic range) so selected movies will look more vibrant with deeper black.
Gamers will be happy to note that the monitor supports AMD FreeSync technology. When used with a FreeSync-enabled AMD graphics card, it eliminates screen tearing so gamers won’t experience choppines in gameplay.
The monitor also features Bluelight Shield which reduces blue light emission, as prolonged exposure to it is believed to cause eye fatigue
The XR382CQK retails for RM4,999.
