Suspect arrested over murder of policeman

PETALING JAYA: A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a policeman at a police station on Jalan TP 7/2, Subang Jaya.
Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Mazlan Mansor said in a statement that the man, aged 30, was initially called in for questioning on Thursday night.
"The man, from Sibu, was then arrested at 1am to help investigations," he said in the statement on Friday.
He is expected to be remanded on Friday.
Comm Mazlan urged everyone to not speculate on the case as it may jeopardise the investigation..
The victim, L/Kpl Valentino Mesa, 29, was found in a pool of blood by policemen during a routine patrol stop at Pinggiran Subang Jaya police station around 3.25am.
It is learnt that Mesa was on duty alone at the station at the time.
Earlier, Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Mazlan Mansor said the investigation so far had not revealed any evidence of personal issues like debts.
However, he did not rule out that the victim knew his attacker as he was shot was at close range.
"We are also not ruling out that there could be more than one assailant,"
