Poultry breeder found murdered

TANGKAK: A poultry breeder was found murdered in a shed at an oil palm smallholding in Sagil here today, police said.
Tangkak Police chief Supt Mohad Idris Samsuri said Sam Peng Kok, 46, is believed to have died after he was beaten with a blunt object on the right side of the face.
“An examination found he had bruises and had bled from the ears, nose and mouth. It is believed he was killed by his worker,” he said tonight.
Mohad Idris said the murder could have taken place between 10 am and 12.30 pm and that the body was found by Sam’s wife after he did not return home for lunch and calls to his phone went unanswered.
The 42-year-old woman went looking for Sam at the shed and found his motorcycle and the shed locked from the outside, he said.
She also saw traces of blood on the ground and called a friend who came and opened the shed window and found Sam lying on the floor with blood stains beside him, he added.
Mohad Idris said police were looking for an Indonesian man who had started working at the smallholding three days ago. - Bernama
