Malaysia and Indonesia supporters turn up early for SEA Games football showdown

SHAH ALAM: Supporters hopeful to get last minute tickets for the Malaysia-Indonesia semi-final football match  have queued all day after hearing rumours on social media of more ticket sales.
Financial consultant Syakir Zaidi, 20, said he heard rumours that more tickets would be released on the day and came at 10am to try his luck.
However, he did not see anyone working at the booths.
The Malaysia fan from Taman Melawati said he also lined up for two hours on Friday but failed to get a ticket.
A check of the SEA Games ticketing site showed that tickets for the men's semi-finals football were unavailable.
The notice displayed on the website stated that tickets are sold out and that no ticket booth will be opened.
Wireman Antoro, 27, said he had arrived to wait in line for tickets at about 8am with approximately 30 friends from Subang.
He said there were rumours that tickets would be sold from 10am and 3pm.
No tickets were released at either time.
Construction worker Agus Purwanto, 30, said tickets for this match were harder to get than those for previous matches involving Indonesia.
Several police vehicles were spotted around Stadium Shah Alam, though no enforcement was necessary as the fans remained calm beyond the occasional chanting and demands for tickets.
As an added security measure, Indonesia fans will enter the stadium through gate A while Malaysia fans can go thought gates B,C and D.
