MACC raid Isa Samad's Nilai home

NILAI: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) tonight raided Tan Sri Mohd Isa Samad's house at Nilai Springs Heights as part of its ongoing probe into Felda investment Corp's(FIC) hotel purchases in London and Kuching.
An MACC source said the raid was conducted to recover any evidence, files or documents in the house related to the case.
"MACC raided the house, which is a routine part of the investigation," the source told the New Straits Times.
MACC officers were seen entering the gated and guarded residential housing area at 4pm and left around 6pm.
It is not known whether MACC officers retrieved any documents.
The source said MACC also raided Isa's house in Lavender Heights in Senawang on Tuesday.
It is believed that Isa may also have a house in Port Dickson and Kuala Pilah.
However, the source said it is hard to say how many houses Isa has as it depends on the findings of the raid.
Isa, who was former Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd chairman, was arrested by MACC on Tuesday to facilitate investigations into FIC's purchase of a hotel in Kensington, London.
The hotel was bought for between 2013 and 2015 for RM330 million, compared to the prevailing market price of RM110 million.
FIC meanwhile paid between RM40 million and RM50 million more than market value for the hotel in Kuching which was bought in 2014.
