Johor chess coach accused of sexually molesting 9-year-old boy

JOHOR BARU: A 35-year-old chess coach is expected to be charged in the special crimes court here tomorrow with outraging the modesty of a 9-year-old boy last month.
It is learnt that the coach, who was tutoring the boy, was arrested after the boy's mother lodged a police report on July 6, but was released on bail after his remand order expired.
The mother, a 43-year-old accounts executive, claims the coach had kissed her younger son on the mouth, and touched the boy's private parts. He had also allegedly anally penetrated the boy.
"I was shocked when my son told me all the details on the night of July 5, and decided to lodge a police report the next day," she said.
The woman’s eldest son, 14, was also taking lessons with the coach.
She claims the coach had also inappropriately touched her elder son, but was “more frisky” with her younger son.
"The coach has other students and I'm worried that other parents are not aware of his perverted ways," the mother said, adding that both her boys have developed an aversion to chess.
Kulai district police chief Superintendent Razak Md Said told the New Straits Times that the coach will be charged under Section 354 of the Penal Code for assault or use of criminal force on a person with intent to outrage modesty.
