Harian Metro continues to maintain its top position in second quarter

KUALA LUMPUR : Harian Metro (HM) website continues to maintain its top position in Malaysia for the second quarter of this year under the news and information categories based on latest statistics released by ComScore Inc. digital.
According to the report, the HM news site that can be surfed through www.hmetro.com.myrecorded 12.23 million unique browser (UV) from April to June; 4.16 million UV in April, 4.12 million UV (May) and 3.94 million UV (June ).
In April, the site better known as myMetro surpassed its competitor with the variation of 362,000 UV, exceeding the advantage of 585,000 UV in May, followed by 756,000 UV in excess June over its rivals.
These statistics include browsers who visited websites using computers, smartphones or tablets.
In the first quarter of 2017, HM's website recorded 9.88 million UVs during January to March and outperformed its competitors with a total of 421,000 UV.
For the HM video segment, MetroTV, which currently has over 104,000 consumer subscriptions on YouTube, has recorded over 130.6 million views as of yesterday.
On social media, Facebook (FB) myMetro now records more than 4.3 million 'likes' while HM official Twitter is now followed by over 776,000 users.
HM also has another Twitter account by area @hmutara for news in Perlis, Penang and Perak, @hmtengah (Klang Valley, Melaka and Negeri Sembilan), @hmtimur (Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang), @hmjohor (Johor), @ Hmsarawak (Sarawak) and @metrosabah (Sabah).
Meanwhile, three Twitter accounts focused on world news, sports and technology namely @GlobalHM, @ArenaHM and @TekLabHM also posted an increase in followers.
