#AAM participants advised to prepare for rain

PETALING JAYA: Participants of the #AnakAnakMalaysia Walk on Sunday morning are advised to bring raincoats and umbrellas along in case of rain.
Weather forecast sites have predicted rainy weather during tomorrow’s five-kilometre walk, which is scheduled to begin at 7.30am at Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam.
As such, participants are reminded to come prepared for the unpredictable Malaysian weather, although a little bit of rain should not stand in the way of Malaysians walking for unity.
"We want the AAMW participants to come prepared but I am sure all of us will walk and stand up for unity, and rain will not stop us.
"Over 6000 people will walk in this year's event, it will be the biggest in the AAMW series. Rain or shine, we will walk as one people and one nation," said Star Media Group’s group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai.
More than 6,000 participants are expected to attend this year’s walk, which is being held for the second year running.
The #AnakAnakMalaysia Walk celebrates Malaysia’s diversity and promotes unity and understanding among its people.
In conjunction with the upcoming National and Malaysia Day, Star Media Group and EcoWorld invite all Malaysians to walk together as one nation solidified in harmony.
Participants are advised to arrive at the venue by 6.30am as roads will be closed in stages for the start of the walk.
