Cops cripple gambling, vice syndicates nationwide with arrest of 764

KUALA LUMPUR: The federal police's Special Task Force for Anti-Vice, Gaming and Gangsterism (Stagg) crippled several gambling and vice syndicates nationwide last week with the arrest of 764 people.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said of the total, 479 were involved in gambling activities while the remaining were guest relations officers (GRO) and masseuses.
This was announced by Khalid via his Twitter handle: “"Syabas STAGG @PDRMsia gempur judi seluruh negara, sepanjang minggu lalu. Tkap 479 org dan rampas 1,757 comp. #GoPDRMGo. (Well done STAGG @PDRMsia for busting gambling dens nationwide last week. 479 were arrested and 1,757 computers were confiscated. #GoPDRMGo.)
Another tweet says: "Syabas lagi STAGG @PDRMsia gempur maksiat seluruh negara sepanjang minggu lalu, tkap 285 org GRO dan tukang urut. #GoPDRMGo.” (Well done again STAGG @PDRMsia for crippling vice activities nationwide last week, 285 GROs and masseuses were arrested.)
Khalid added that 1,757 computers used as gambling machines were also seized by Stagg.
